Elmo began his culinary journey in an unexpected place—while studying industrial engineering. Just three months into his studies, he made the bold decision to follow his true passion for cooking. That decision was quickly affirmed when he earned a “Promising Chef” award in his first year, igniting a lifelong commitment to the culinary arts.
His pursuit of excellence led him to the United States, where he refined his craft as a sous chef and chef de cuisine at some of Florida’s most prestigious private clubs. To further enhance his skills, he earned an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts from the Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts, where he studied both classical and contemporary culinary techniques.
With over 12 years of experience, Elmo brings a leadership style rooted in creativity, discipline, and innovation. He later opened his own restaurant in Naples, Florida—a venture that earned him the honor of being named one of Carla Hall’s Top 10 Favorite Chefs in Southwest Florida.
He is a proud member of the American Culinary Federation and holds the title of World Certified Executive Chef, recognized by the World Chefs Association. Today, he remains dedicated to culinary creativity, ongoing skill development, and making meaningful contributions to the evolving global food scene.
