Vanessa began her career in hospitality at the age of 16 as a server at a popular authentic South African restaurant in her hometown. After high school, she enrolled in the International Hotel School in South Africa, where she earned diplomas in Hospitality Management, Food and Beverage Management, and Kitchen Management. In 2009, Vanessa moved to the United States to work as an intern in the culinary department at the Ritz-Carlton Beach Resort in Naples. She then spent five years as a cook at the Ritz-Carlton Tiburón. Vanessa's career gained momentum after she joined Chef Ryan at Fiddlesticks Country Club as a Sous Chef. Two years later, she advanced to become the Executive Chef at a private community in Estero. From there, she continued to rise, ultimately taking on the role of Dining Services Director, Executive Chef, and General Manager.
